    Position Summary

    The Senior Manager, Asset Management is responsible for the team tracking accurate information for several thousand assets across our fleet using several best-in-class software programs. All changes to serialized assets will have status changes made through this position to including equipment changes, terminal changes, driver changes, accessory equipment, etc. This position tracks all fleet assets in the Heniff organization including, but not limited to: Heniff Transportation Systems, Carry Transit, Miller Transporters, and Premier Bulk Systems. The position will analyze data and provide reports surrounding the health of the fleet.


    Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • The Senior Manager, Asset Management will monitor multiple email groups for function specific needs: Fleet Management, Leasing and Analytics.
    • Directly work with Maintenance to determine timelines on available assets 
    • The Senior Manager, Asset Management will provide metrics and analysis on fleet health and open assets and identify and implement improvements to overall efficiency and utilization of assets
    • Provide forecast and planning information for the fleet
    • Communicate with Safety, Payroll, and License and permitting on changes made
    • The Senior Manager, Asset Management will develop standards and maintain consistency of inventory definitions in programs 
    • Track and facilitate leasing programs for trailers and chassis
    • Verify accuracy between the systems to reduce potential dispatching issues
    • Work with terminals and dispatcher to verify domiciled equipment is accurate 
    • The Senior Manager, Asset Management will maintain toll and transponders tracking through Prepass accounts accurately providing terminals with information to correct violations 
    • Management and supervision of small team supporting Fleet Asset Management responsibilities
    • Other fleet related responsibilities as needed
    • The Senior Manager, Asset Management will report directly to the VP of Maintenance. 


    Requirements

     Education and Experience: 

    • Minimum BA in Business, Analytics, or similar degree field or equivalent years of experience 
    • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Must be able to provide and explain detailed reports to leadership
    • 1 year Fleet experience required 

    Preferred qualifications

    • Previous experience with transportation software (TMT, TMW, PEOPLENET, SAMSARA) is a plus.
    • Experience in commercial leasing is a plus
