Note from Bob Heniff
Dear Valued Customer:
As we close out the third quarter, I would like to
take this opportunity to inform you about an exciting milestone at
Heniff, and to update you on some key initiatives. It is with great
pride that I inform you that we recently celebrated our 10-year
anniversary as a company. As a young entrepreneur in 1998, my goal was to
create a new breed of bulk chemical carrier unlike any other in the
industry, one that delivered unmatched customer service, unwavering
commitment to safety, and a very large, high-quality trucking fleet able
to meet customers' growing capacity needs. I'm very proud to say each of
these goals has been successfully achieved.
As I reflect on the first ten years, there are
three basic reasons for our continued success. First, our employees
are some of the most knowledgeable and dedicated individuals in
the industry. As one example, but representative of many, Dale Rivers, our New Orleans Terminal
Manager, always goes above and beyond the call to exceed
customers' expectations. I can think of many occasions when he and his
team worked very late on weekend evenings to meet a customer's request.
Fortunately, this type of dedication is commonplace at Heniff. I
can't thank our employees enough for their hard work and dedication to
the team over the years.
Second, we've
placed a huge priority on aggressively acquiring and maintaining the
best-quality equipment in the industry since day one. Unlike many of our
competitors, the current average age of our large trailer fleet is less
than 6 years old, and it continues to drop as we rapidly purchase new
equipment on a monthly basis. Over the past year alone, our large trailer
fleet increased by 50 percent, largely due to new trailers.
Finally, our
close relationship with customers has clearly been a critical ingredient
in our growth as a company. As we've grown
rapidly as a carrier, we've always maintained a core philosophy
to operate and communicate like a small, nimble carrier.
In looking at
our strategic initiatives, I'm also pleased to announce our full-service New Orleans
terminal is now open! This terminal will have a huge impact on our
ability to serve our GulfCoast customers.
Our state-of-the-art tank wash will dramatically
improve the quality and quantity of tank and rail car washes in the New Orleans and
surrounding areas. This improved productively will result in better
equipment utilization, resulting in significantly more capacity.
As always, I
welcome your feedback about ways we can better serve you.
